NEWSLETTER 20.10.2020

Hi everyone, and welcome to this weeks newsletter!

First off to some updates:

1. I have changed the newsletter to Tuesday for it to better fit into my schedule,

2. Giclée print options are in the curtains and will most likely be available in a week or two.

3. I have made the decision to develop black and white film my self. Partly because I want to learn it and also because I have gotten a lot of bad results from the labs I have tried. It is also about the time. Labs here send them down south for developing, so it can take two weeks to get a roll back. Thats way too long. I will be using the more environmentally friendly option Caffenol for developing, which we will get into in a future post.

I will also scan them myself with my Olympus and the 40mp option. I did not think it would be possible at first, but a lot of youtubing has made me look at it otherwise.

We will see how this goes, but if it works it will with out a doubt shorten the time from capturing too printing. Not to mention that it will be a heck of a lot more fun!:)

So as I said in the previous letter, I was going to look into making a video on how I use Lightroom mobile. I made a video on it, and though it ended up on about 20 mins, I hope it is useful:) This is just my take on what I usually do, and if you have comments or corrections please feel free:) I have posted below as a picture link to youtube.

The autumn has now changed in to winter frost and I am guessing it won't be long until we have snow on the roads. All the mountains around us are now covered with snow, and my morning bike rides are seing lakes with ice and frosted grass. And yes, that is just perfect for the macro pictures! So incredibly fun, and amazingly enough the iPhone handles that very nicely. Like I said earlier, I don't want to bring any of the other cameras with me in case they get soaked in the rain. Here are some shots from last week:

There has also been a lot of analog action in the passing week, and we now are finally done with our joint roll of Lomochrome purple on the Pentax ME. I am already getting the Pentax ME Super ready for some Fomapan 400:) Think I will do another quick video next week on loading film again as it is so much fun:)

The Flexaret has also been in use, and I got a few town shots patched in on our shopping trip. We also brought it on a hike up one of the small hills just outside our Island. So all in all a good week of shooting and post processing.

Nighttime is arriving, so I will leave you here with the LR video and hopefully have more news on developing film and scanning next week:)
